Christmas Day

Each and every year on the 25th of Decemeber we are privileged to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. At his birth he took on our human nature so that through his death we may be saved. Praise be to our God. After the morning service we got together with most of the Hordyk family (minus Trav) and a few friends to enjoy some fellowship together. Mum made some yummy kebabs, Salads and Torte and Dad held up his side by cooking some very yummy prawns, the kebabs and sausages on the BBQ. Oh and we also enjoyed some cake pops and Kylie made a great Lemon Meringue Pie! Thanks everyone! Here are some photos especially for you Trav :)

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is spent with the family 't Hart. Well the ones that are in Albany that is. Arjan and Jodie and family were away this year and Anthony and Lucy and kiddies came down to join the fun. We had lots of fun with 8 kids under 7 - we enjoyed some really yummy food (especially the Ham), sang some songs, read the christmas story and overall spent a really nice night together as family.

Cake Pops

Renae and I have been planning for a while to make cake pops. Finally the night came - Ryan was away for a couple nights so we bought all the ingredients baked the cakes and got set up. And we also had a support crew - Kylie, Viv, Charlene and Kate came to help. Well - some of them came to help and some came to sample :) We put the table in front of the TV and watched a movie at the same time. What a great fun girly night.... Thanks girls!!

Aunty Kate comes to play....

Seth and Ivy (and Me) love it when Aunty Kate comes for the day. She is lots of fun :)

Reading stories

Landing - after horsy rides...

Nappy Bag with Viv....

The last couple of weeks Viv and I have spent some mornings (and evenings) making these nappy bags, using the tutorial from Tutorial: Hip Mama Diaper Bag and this is what we came up with. Sewing with the vinyl was certainly challenging, and also trying to keep 4 little ones entertained well... lets say we had a few moments :) All in all I am very happy with how it turned out.

Mine is the brown - Viv's is the red!
Lots of pockets inside

Kids watching Chugginton while we finished off the last bits.

Thanks Viv - really enjoyed making this bag together - maybe one day we can take on another project :)

Some of the Kids

Hey all... Just thought I might try some blogging... We'll see if I manage to keep it up. First things first - I need to work out how to use it :)

Would you believe that both these little darlings were very cranky on this day....

Hehe! On Saturday Seth had a haircut ('to get his knots cut out'). It is only when I look at this photo that I realise how long his hair really was :)

My super gorgeous daughter

Kids thought that self timer was great fun

Dinosaur World

Last school holidays we enjoyed a trip out to dinosaur world with most of the 't Hart family (minus Lucy and kids). We had a great time and the kids loved it.... Seth spent most of his time perched on Grandmas lap and chauffeured around....
He was very brave....

and eventually got brave enough to feed the kangaroos on his own.

Ivy telling Grandad where to go :)

oooh - what is that scary thing Ashley?

Seth tried very hard to snap the prickles off its back...

Bits and pieces

A couple of weekends ago - we enjoyed the pleasure of Tegan and Asha's company. Seth and Ivy LOVED having big sisters for the weekend and we had lots of fun. When I asked Tegan and Asha what they would really like to do on the weekend they said 'play playdough'. Very easy kids to please. So I made up some biscuit dough and they all got to make their own biscuits. Seth and Ivy enjoyed eating the dough :)

A nice clean and easy painting activity....

Seth loves to help vacuum

and so does Ivy - so I just sit on the couch and read a book :)

Seth and Ivy enjoying playing with playdough - Thanks Sarah and Josie!!
